By the late-80s/90s there were fewer and fewer shows that were great all the way through, but there were great performances peppered through most every show through 1993 or so, including some real X-factor stuff. It just became harder and harder to separate the wheat from the chaff. It's worth a listen if you're interested, but it's not worth forcing it if the sounds of that era (Brent/Bruce/Vince; lots of MIDI-driven stuff) don't appeal to you.

Don't get me wrong, I've heard some very good stuff from these years. I'm not down on the midi at all, and there's a well-know Canadian show from March 91 that does ring my bell - don't remember the actual date. I also listen to the September 91 Branford show pretty regularly - but this is a very different band from the one that I saw a lot of between 79 and 82
